I can .read them a book, listen to them tell stories from their past, go for a walk with them, take them to a restaurant for a meal, go to a bakery or coffee shop so they can see old friends, or just spend time together with them.

Gently answering questions that they have asked many times, reassuring them when they're frightened by things, remind them of things they need to do, help calm them with they are frustrated.
End of Life Comfort Care
To sit with your loved one in their last days. Give them sips of water, read to them, reposition them in bed, give them a bed bath.
